1. Introduction
Welcome to MeadowLaneOffice ("we," "our," or "us"). These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") dictate your engagement with our yacht charter services and our website available at meadowlaneoffice.sbs (the "Service"), managed by MeadowLaneOffice.
In entering into a charter agreement or using our Service, you are consenting to be adherent to these Terms. Should you not consent to any section of these terms, you are prohibited from using the Service.
2. Service Overview
MeadowLaneOffice offers luxury yacht chartering services that comprise, but are not restricted to:
- Daily yacht hiring
- Evening sailings
- Corporate getaways
- Exclusive celebrations
- Extended charters
All offerings are contingent on availability and weather conditions. We retain the prerogative to alter or discontinue offerings at our discretion.
3. Booking and Reservations
3.1 Booking Procedure
To arrange a charter, you are required to:
- Be a minimum of 18 years old
- Furnish complete and correct details
- Remit the necessary deposit as delineated in your booking confirmation
- Accede to these Terms & Conditions
3.2 Confirmation
A confirmation of your booking will be considered complete only after the payment has been processed and our written confirmation has been issued. We hold the discretion to decline service to any individual.
3.3 Availability
All charters are predicated on the accessibility of the vessel and favorable weather conditions. We will strive to accommodate your chosen dates and times to the best of our ability.
4. Payment Terms
4.1 Pricing
All quoted prices are in € and are inclusive of relevant taxes unless stated otherwise. Prices are susceptible to changes without prior notification.
4.2 Payment Schedule
- Deposit: 50% of the entire charter fee is required at the time of booking
- Balance: The remainder is due no later than 48 hours prior to charter departure
- Supplementary charges (if any): To be settled upon the conclusion of the charter
4.3 Payment Methods
We accept key credit cards, bank transfers, and certified checks. All payment processing is conducted through secure, encrypted channels.
5. Cancellation and Refund Policy
5.1 Customer Cancellations
- More than 72 hours prior to departure: Complete refund minus transaction fees
- Between 24-72 hours before departure: 50% refund
- Less than 24 hours before departure: No refund issued
5.2 Weather Cancellations
If the weather conditions are determined to be unsafe by our captain, we will propose to:
- Reschedule the charter to another suitable date at no extra cost
- Issue a complete refund if a rescheduling is not feasible
5.3 Mechanical Issues
In the rare situation of mechanical failures with your appointed yacht, we will attempt to offer an appropriate substitute. If this is not possible, a full reimbursement will be provided.
6. Safety and Conduct
6.1 Safety Requirements
All passengers are obliged to:
- Heed all instructions from the crew
- Utilize provided safety gear when necessary
- Disclose any medical conditions that could pose a safety concern
- Stay within designated regions of the vessel
6.2 Prohibited Items
The following items are not allowed on board:
- Glass containers
- Illegal substances
- Weapons or firearms
- Excessive amounts of non-alcoholic drinks beyond reasonable personal consumption
- Pets (unless pre-arranged)
6.3 Conduct
All passengers are expected to behave respectfully. We retain the authority to terminate a charter prematurely with no refund if a passenger's conduct endangers safety or disrupts the enjoyment for others.
7. Liability and Insurance
7.1 Our Liability
We are only liable to the extent of the payment received for your charter. We are not accountable for:
- Bodily harm accruing due to passenger negligence
- Theft or damage to personal belongings
- Indirect, incidental, or punitive damages
- Delays resulting from weather or scenarios outside our control
7.2 Insurance Coverage
We maintain extensive marine insurance policies for our fleet and operations. Charterers bear the responsibility for their individual travel and personal insurance coverage.
7.3 Assumption of Risk
By electing to participate in our services, you recognize the inherent perils associated with maritime activities and accept accountability for your safety and welfare.
8. Modifications and Itinerary Changes
We reserve the ability to revise itineraries, routes, or schedules due to weather, safety concerns, or operational needs. We will endeavor to offer equivalent alternative experiences whenever possible.
9. Force Majeure
We shall bear no responsibility for hold-ups, cancellations, or modifications stemming from uncontrollable circumstances that include, but are not limited to:
- Extreme meteorological disturbances
- Natural catastrophes
- Governmental edicts
- Port terminations
- Vessel malfunctions
10. Privacy and Data Protection
Your private data will be managed in adherence to our Privacy Policy. Service engagement indicates you are in agreement with the compilation and utilization of your data as per our Privacy Policy.
11. Intellectual Property
The content on our website, such as text, visuals, logos, and imagery, is protected by intellectual property laws. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or creation of derivative material is prohibited without our explicit written consent.
12. Governing Law
The laws in force in Spain shall govern these Terms. Any conflict shall be settled within the courts of Barcelona, Spain.
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the authorization to adjust these Terms as needed. Amendments will be publicized on our website with the revision date updated. Continued use of our services after changes have been made implies acceptance of the new terms.
